I keep writing posts in my head, in detail, about all the events and feelings and musings I want to share or simply need to set down. But then time passes and I get everything together and then there's nothing to say. I've been quite lax in posting as of late - and by that I mean something like the past few months, honestly - and for that, well, sorry. If anything for the out-of-date links. Whatev'. I hope everyone had a good New Year's Eve and Day, and wish y'all the best for 2012. Smile! If we live through the Mayan apocalypse, we get to look forward to the Croatoan virus.
One reason I've not been writing anything is that I've been spending all my time blissfully mellowed out with Tumblr. Another, more acceptable reason, is that there's nothing to say. Which is of course a lie because I could always pull something out about fandom, at the least. But lately I've not been doing much. Well, I've been finishing compilations (see below). But otherwise not really doing much of anything. Today I went out running after weeks of impersonating a hibernating grub and I started looking for plane tickets to go visit my brother, although that's causing all sorts of anxiety because I don't even know. (The looking-for-tickets thing, not visiting-my-brother, mind.) I did go socializing that one time, with my volunteer-work supervisor, which was lovely and wonderful, but it's quite sad to basically be able to point at a month or a string of months, "That's when I hung out with folk." So I've been Tumblring a lot and watching a lot of television and huddling under every warm thing I can find and generally not thinking about much of anything. Except maybe about how I'm still waiting for a Christmas card from
mrscastielftw to arrive - it's somewhere in the between-homes postage ether - and it's getting to be
a long, sad wait. It doesn't help that I've been falling asleep at 4 am these past few days.
Even now I'm drawing a blank, just that I really wanted to post because a) it's the new year and I might as well tell y'all I'm not dead and b) Links of the Day. So there you go. Oh, and memes. Now, excuse me, I have some American Horror Story to streamline into my veins.

Five favourite characters: Neal, Peter, Mozzie, Elizabeth and Diana
Three OTPs: Peter/Elizabeth, Elizabeth&Mozzie (platonic friendship of win), June&Neal (plantonic caring thing of win)
Funniest character: Mozzie!
Prettiest character: Diana (I also have a thing for her voice)
Most bad-ass character: Peter (I just love it when he proves Neal wrong about being able to do something or not)
Character I’d like as my BFF: Elizabeth
Character that’s ruined my life: None of them! \o/ Finally, a show that does not cause me heartache! (Although Neal certainly made me wibble in 1x10 when he was hyped up on drugs and confessing he could only ever trust Peter.)

Meme: Have you read more than 6 of these books?
The BBC believes most people will have read only 6 of the 100 books listed here. Bold those books you’ve read in their entirety. Italicize the ones you started but didn’t finish or read only an excerpt.
Your anglocentrism is adorable, BBC. Where are these "most people" from, anyway?

Just Wondering - 12/27/2011 - "But the fact is, fear and distrust are two very natural, very useful reactions to have. They exist to warn you of danger, and to make you leave dangerous situations. If some part of you is saying “this isn’t right,” you need to act on that. Act as if it isn’t right. Get away from this guy."
