Fanfic:
Ninja Pirate Angel on a Zombie Unicorn The Blank Slate Stonehenge Antimony Eliminate the Impossible A Slip of Comet Original Writing:
Time We Saw a Miracle The Ballast Water Metaphor The Last Wild Angel Blog Like It's the End of the World Total number of completed stories: 9
Total word count: 57,657 (or 7,297 if you don't count Nanowrimo)
Fandom breakdown: Supernatural (3, or 4 if you count Nanowrimo) ; Crossovers a) Doctor Who (1), Stonehenge Apocalypse (1) and b) House (1), Sherlock (1), Iron Man (1) ; Original (4)
Overall Thoughts: More crossovers than I would have thought, less stories than I would have wanted, and nice balance between main fandom and original.
Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you'd predicted? Realistically, either more or about as much as I'd predicted, because I predicted either a gazillion or nothing and expected a few.
What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January? Stonehenge Apocalypse, not that it existed last year.
What's your own favorite story of the year? Fandom, it's Stonehenge Antimony, and original, it's The Last Wild Angel. The Nanowrimo is on a scale of favoritism all its own.
Do you have any fanfic or profic goals for the New Year? WRITE MORE (and possibly FINISH SHIT).
From my past year of writing, what was...
My best story of this year: The Blank Slate is pretty fine, I think.
My most popular story of this year: The Blank Slate, by far.
spn_deanw recommendation, whoot whoot!
Story of mine most under-appreciated by the universe, in my opinion: Stonehenge Antimony, by far.
Most fun story to write: Eliminate the Impossible
Story with the single sexiest moment: Time We Saw a Miracle. Granted, it's the only story with anything remotely sexy, so it wins by default.
Most "Holy crap, that's wrong, even for you" story: The Kezef scenes in Time We Saw a Miracle might be in that area, but honestly, I know I've got worse in my head than I wrote down.
Story that shifted my own perceptions of the characters: The Blank Slate, which basically is a character study of how the characters see each other.
Hardest story to write: Time We Saw a Miracle had some trully torturous parts.
Biggest Disappointment: How there aren't more stories in the list.
Biggest Surprise: The Last Wild Angel. I swear I wrote that high on some sort of author auto-pilot. (And to a lesser extent, Stonehenge Antimony and how it went from crack to "rather wistful", leaving me pleasantly surprised.)
Most Unintentionally Telling Story: Time We Saw a Miracle, I guess, because there's so damn much of it. One day, I will go though both Nanowrimos and add footnotes. (Mainly so I don't forget all the little references and in-jokes that I sprinkled inside.)
In conclusion: To echo
qthewetsprocket: WRITE MOAR YOU LAZY SOD.
