Drone, meet Hive

HMFG I think I have a job.

MCarmen called me yesterday saying that the boss at the hospital she works at was desperate for someone to work afternoons. She sent the lady my CV and *badabing*, phone call today. The job´s basically answering phones, making appointments with clients, etc. I should go Friday to learn my way around. Lady´s calling tomorrow to clear up details (esp. the times I´d be working, poss. 3:30 to 8:30).

Not so bad, because a) money, b) something to do, c) I can still take French courses (if I get in) in the mornings.

Obviously am panicking. But that´s just me.

, the people are nice. They all have significant others (damn them!) but they´re nice people. Still don´t know my way around, like when / where we throw the garbage out, how do we set up who´s turn it is to do what in the cleaning-department, how to turn the heating on/off, etc.

Cool thing? Alba was given a little chipmunk-ish thing by her boyfriend. She´s completely abbandoned it, so it´s a community effort now. I gav the poor dear cheerios and some yogurt and water (which he promptly dumped out).

Other news? I have the hottest picture as my phone wallpaper. Woot! Go here then scroll down to where it says "Fotogaleria" on the right (right under the big picture of the burning guitar), clicky, then go to the second page. :)

The interview itself is absolute crap. Badly written and really bad questions too. Plus, I think it´s really, really bad taste to keep asking JPhoenix about his brother.

...and I´d always thought he´d been named "Leaf" then switched. It´s the other way around. Bizarre. *But* I totally don´t buy that he changed it back because "Joaquin" sounded too much like "walking", as the silly interviewist lady says. I can see it now...

JP: Hmm. Everyone seems to be having trouble pronouncing my name. Maybe I should change it to something simpler... Something everyone can pronounce... *thinks* Bill? John? Nah, too common. *thinks* I know, "Leaf"!

(OK. So I can´t write funny. Shoot me. It´s still a stupid reasoning.)

Btw, why name your kids River, Rain, Liberty and Summer, then name the other boy Joaquin Rafael. Poor kid would feel left out and then change his name anyway. Can´t they all have earthy names together?

I can´t believe I´m writing about this. Somebody stop me.

PS: Kitten?!? Nickname = Kitten? Wha? Is this really the kind of nickname that would be written down in www.imdb.com? I´m confused. It´s not like, "Hi, my name´s Richard, but everyone calls me Ricky." It´s...kitten. It´s like saying my nickname´s "muffin" or something. Wierd. Confused.

PPS: "Contrary to popular belief, the scar on his lip is not the result of a repaired cleft lip or palate. It is simply a birth mark. Phoenix has stated in interviews that, while pregnant with him, his mother felt a sharp pain one day, and he was born with a mark on his lip." Well. Now you know. Although that must´ve been a damn wierd pregnancy. Injured prior birth?

Note to self: might be interesting to watch "The Yards" (2000), "Parenthood" (1989). As well as those wierdly-titled Tim Roth films, "Four Rooms", "The Cook, the thief, his wife and the lover" as well as rewatching "Rosencranzt and Guildenstern are dead" because it´s pure genius. (Read the play, too.)

I´m so all over the place here. Sorry.

Oh, and the Golden Globes? One each for the lead roles in "Walk the Line". Glee.

But, wait. Four nominations for "Desp. Housewives" for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series - Musical or Comedy? Gah.

Watched "The Secret Life of Words". Very nice movie. I particularly liked how it took its time with images, like the way the woman rubbed her hands against her skirt, of the interesting birds-eye view of rainfall. Purty.

Am not crazy. Or obsessed. Or crazy. (Boring, maybe, but not crazy.) Appologies for the flooding of my lj with boring details about people I don´t know. Am not a crazy fangirl, swear.
