Reviewing math after gulp, 19 years, is challenging. I'm not really surprised at how little I remember. It's not like I've been using algebra in my every day life. But, I have to figure this stuff out if I am going to pass brief calculus in the spring. So, I have about four more months to get my self prepared. I don't meet with an adviser until the 19th. However, I have run an online program that showed what classes I need to graduate. If the program is correct, I don't need anything except for the major and minor classes and that math class. All my previous credits take care of all the other requirements. So, it should be smooth sailing to getting this degree relatively quickly. It's not going to be fun from a financial standpoint. We'll probably travel less. Or, to less exotic locations. Who knows about buying a house at this point. Nevertheless, it'll pay off in the long run. It HAS to be better than the treading water I've been doing the past few years. If I had unlimited time and money, I think I'd take Spanish. I'd love to know it and it would be helpful living here in the Southwest.
I guess the only question I have left is whether to make Economics or Urban Planning my minor. I'm leaning toward Urban Planning still. Maybe, this is something the adviser can help me with.
The sports weekend for my favorite teams was about as disastrous as you can get. The Tigers salvaged a playoff after leading by three games with four to go. I don't give them much of a chance in the Metrodome on Tuesday, however. The Lions started a new losing streak and U-M lost to MSU for the second straight year. That hasn't happened in my entire life, until now. ASU is proving to be a mediocre program as usual too. So, needless to say, I wasn't really happy with the results of everything.
