Mild-to-moderate became a full blown cold with cough.
Missed all the lovely sunny weather, lying on the sofa or in bed dozing and hacking. Very tedious.
Now back at work, with only occasional coughing and snorting.
Sunday I was mostly recovered - well enough to trot to local shopping, and to the Columbia Flower Market (Sundays only) where Robert picked out some herbs, and we restarted our plant-pot herb garden effort. Last year's died out, when something ate all my basil, and I lost enthusiasm for nurturing things through the winter.
This year we're starting with bigger plants in bigger tubs, rather than trying to propogate in a dozen small pots, though the small pots might yet be useful.
Madam Harley did a careful inspection after we'd finished, as we'd disturbed her familiar front yard but seems to have accepted our work.
She's still having the occasional day with out food, but seems to come back to kibble afterward, and she seems none the worse for it: still active, playful, chatty. I haven't lived with a young cat in so long that she seems like a kitten, always looking for something to bat off the sill.
The living room has the morning light. I'd teased Robert for moving her chair (yes, she's coopted two cushions and a towel) to keep it in the sun...until I spent the week home, and couldn't resist doing it myself.
Robert's conference is tomorrow. I'll be glad when it's over, and possibly reclaim my sweetie from his laptop for awhile - he's put in 12 hour days in front of it for weeks.
