It's either Paul or Kucinichlittle_speakerDecember 11 2007, 19:56:38 UTC
While I dislike a lot of Paul's...uh....'remarks', I have to say that our country is in such a sorry state that I actually find myself overlooking that and the fact he want's to do away with Roe vs. Wade and say that he is my second choice candidate, after Kucinich.
Yes, he is from Texas. Yes, he is racist to a degree. Yes, he looks totally wierd. But we are on the verge of a massive meltdown of the economy possibly as great as the Depression, and being shuffled into another war that the upper 1% of society is going to drain the rest of us dry on, creating a freakin' PEASANT class, so at this point I am for anyone willing to stand up for at least some degree of sanity.
Hillary is a joke, Obama is a joke, and Gulliani SCARES me. If Kucinich can't get elected or get a better following, this guy might be the closest thing we have to turning the US war/colonialization/globalization machine around and heading home.
He may not be a 'savior', and he is totally out of line on some issues, but he is definitely presenting the possibility for a turning point.
