i wish i could show you the stars the way i saw them last night...
but my camera isnt good enough.
we went camping at ocala national forest. There was around 25 people and it was mainly for perry's birthday which is today. lets just say, pretty much everyone went...and the highlights of the night were:
everyone freaking out because we were camping in hunting territory
everyone fighting about where to camp
perry asuming the role of jesus and the great mediator
everyone drunk by 7PM
laying down on the road to look at the stars
blaring our music and dancing with glow sticks
partyball stand!
making amanda laugh at orion's penis
running as deep into the woods as possible before getting scared
singing and harmonizing around the campfire
christian's "look how bright it is!"
me staying up all night to rekindle the fire every 10 minutes
almost burning miriam's foot off
coyote's before morning
watching the sunrise
and probably more which i forgot.
but for the first time in awhile, i felt a deep peace, a calmness in myself. everything was so beautiful, the landscape, the trees, the stars, the sky. it was almost surreal and i was happy to have been a part of such an experience.
