I had a fancy dinner to attend and picked out a sleeveless dress to wear. Despite the heat, I also grabbed a jacket but frowned.
ME: Mmm...
JOHN: What's wrong?
M: I just hate how ashamed I am of my underarm hair and feel the need to wear a jacket to cover it up.
J: Aww, well, you can shave it if you want! Don't feel like you have to keep your underarm hair just because of me.
M: [smiling] PSSSH, you think I don't shave in order to please you? I am proud of my underarm hair and I hate to shave it--it's irritating and uncomfortable. It's just not acceptable in normal company, and that's hard for me to deal with. I'm glad you like it, but that's not why I keep it.
