From Don MacPherson over at eyeoncomics.com

This is the second time someone has reviewed it now and said "the strongest followup since the original limited series"...which I can't be anything but hugely chuffed by as one of the biggest compliments I've ever had. Cheers Don.

So there you have it, officially:

you are now a better writer than Steve Niles. Enjoy. I'm sure we will :-)

Nope, being "best since the original blah blah" means on par, not better. ;)

hmm..

given that Steve has written a great many of those tales [I have all of them], I take 'best since the original' to include his later works.

Anyways, judging by the quality of Sir Wormy, you are indeed a better writer. [disclamer: I feverently enjoy all the works of Mr Niles, including novels]

Still, as always I stand by your modesty :-) it remains a terribly charming feature

Wow. That was a very badly written comment.

I *meant* to say I take the 'better' statement to read as better than the later stuff Steve wrote. Which your current writing is.

Heh, you call it modesty, I call it sticking to the facts. Besides, I don't think I've ever claimed myself to be a real "writer"...though I'll take other people's claims about it any day. ;)

Depends on the writing I suppose. While most would not recognise comic scripts are 'proper' writing, I do, and have done since Neil Gaiman's Sandman.

Were you to write a standalone novel [given a magical change to 36 hour days or equally unlikely event] we'd all find you how hopeless you truly are. Hur. etc
