Rainbow was a television programme aimed at the very young, and included a fellow who spoke in that tone you only ever get when adults are talking down to kids, a man dressed as a bear, and other creatures that must have been designed by a bloke on acid. Also two men and a woman who did songs for the children.
However, it was very popular. Which might explain the shock when a video clip entirely made up of double entendres found its way onto the internet, usually accompanied by the line:For those of you who don't know, "Rainbow" was a credible childrens TV show from the 70's and 80's. This clip was actually broadcast and watched by millions. Of course, it wasn't broadcast - it was the gag reel for that year's Christmas party.
