A meeting with the oncologist tomorrow. Dad did not come home from the hospital today as was the plan. The NP mentioned the words "terminal" and "advanced" over the phone, but couldn't offer any more information.
There's family drama going on. My weak, dying father wondered aloud to me if my sister-in-law could possibly be simply evil. The incredible look of sadness on his face...
Why does she do this?
My brother (the one not married to her) had a huge "trip of a lifetime" planned for about now. When dad took a turn for the worst he cancelled everything. She looked at him in disbelief "Why would you do that?" I wasn't there, but it sounds like her. She has my oldest brother (the one married to her) so beaten that he's lost his identity. This has caused dad nothing but pain.
She called him this morning wanting to know if he had an executor for his will. SHE called, not my brother.
This family is going to fragment when dad's gone. He's been the glue. The reason we don't say things to her. Maybe we should have, long ago.
