Well after a long week of stressful overtime work at Sunnydale Memorial Hospital. I was finally able to take a little time off to have some fun. Well ok, wasn't really able to have any fun. Since I had to make sure that a patient of mine was doing ok.
So I gone back to Grant's
Inn, where
Grant was having a party. Was alot
of beautiful ladies there. With my luck, I'm sure they was already taken. But I really never got the chance to mingle with anyone anyway.
But really didn't have time to worry about my lack of a social life. Since I had promised
Evan and his
guardian that I would see how he was doing. I had been worried that he may have anemia from the lack of iron with a low red blood cell count. Yet, he appears to be doing better, but anyone that has lost so much blood, really does need to get plenty of rest. He was still to weak and confused to talk much. So I told him to just rest for now, and that everything would be ok.
Anyway, the iron supplements that I provided, seem to have increased his red blood cell count to normal levels. I recommended that he continue to have 10mg of iron per day, which is the daily iron requirements for all Adolescents. To also eat foods rich in vitamin C, such as orange or grapefruit juice. And to avoid caffeine when eating iron rich foods, since caffeine reduces iron absorption. So if everything continues to go well, he should be a perfectly healthy boy in no time.
And I do hope that everything goes well for the kid. He deserves alot happier new year.
Also Grant has invited me back for another party to celebrate the new year. Is hard to believe that 2004 is finally here. And I do hope that everyone has a healthy, and happy 2004.
