Matters of State and States of Matter

*tap, tap, tap* Is this thing on? Oh...

Well, I'm not dead - a fact I can only attribute to poor marksmanship. As such, I suppose it's about time I gave some kind of update on the life an times of His Imperial Majesty, Padashah Emperor Muggins XXXVII.

Matters of State: I have a fairly long list of projects at the moment, mostly involving roleplaying on some level or another. I'm still running two tabletop games with different groups set concurrently in the same world, and with some margin of success I'm happy to say. The plots and intrigues keep coming, and I'm beginning to find my player characters as devious as some of their rivals. I do loves me some politicking! It's also got a good range of deeply realised characters, which I'm thankful for since that leads to (melo)drama and moral dichotomies...two of my other loves.
Coming up, for those of you that don't know, is a political live game set in the "Fading Suns" universe that I'm co-running called "Bloody Throne". Preparing for that is hard work at times, but great fun - I'm even having some more costume tailor-made for the opening event! Site booking is being a pain as usual, but when isn't it? Also, inventing one's own downtime system reminds one quite how much one dislikes roleplaying systems in general...
On top of this and other things of course is Mission: Ineffable. Yes, by the end of the year myself and three companions will be published, award-winning rpg designers...I jest not. I'm really looking forward to having our game in the shops, I don't mind telling you, and fully intend for Mission: Ineffable to be a foot firmly in-the-door of the roleplaying industry. I has me some plans...and one of them is Godless...
They're the three biggest, or at least most interesting, of my projects at the moment.

States of Matter: I had an MRI on the 2nd January. I found it surprisingly comfortable, and indeed, nodded off in the machine, much to my parents' amusement. The NHS were shockingly efficient, in fact, even for Chelsea & Westminster Hospital (I found the best place to start having seizures!), and I've got a follow-up appointment before the end of the month. Fingers crossed I don't have little guy in there pulling levers or something...though that would explain the cravings...
In all seriousness though, I haven't had any noticeable "episodes" since my second hospital visit (and it was 20 years before I even had one attack) so, touch wood, everything should be pretty much OK up there.
Apart from that, I'm pretty good. I might be pushing the police's description of me as "slim" a little, but that I can deal with...I just won't be buying up me Agility anytime soon.

Well, most of you should have stopped reading a good few sentences ago, so I can finally reveal the secret to those brave souls who have made it through the long slog (or had the wisdom to cheat and skip to the end)...

...it's his sled!
