Oh, no. I'm not mad at all. You make a good point, really. Gwen is a good character, but I think she could do so much more if she wasn't constantly going off to drool at Kevin. That one-liner in "X = Ben + 2" was just an example of how it seems like some her dialogue just sort of falls flat. Her action sequences can be good, yeah, but I guess I'm still sore about the "It's not magic it's ALIEN POWERZ" thing. (How do you explain Charmcaster?) I can't help but think that she's not living up to the full potential of nearly all aspects of her character. Maybe she needs her own villain to draw that out of her? (Again, I vote Charmcaster. I'm just a mite obsessed, yeah.)

From what I've seen, Gwevin shippers tend to ignore Ben. It's a little funny, really. Honestly, I'm more amused by the general attitudes of Gwevin shippers than I am irritated by them. I occasionally troll about the chatbox on ALEXIUL4ever's blog under the name of "BeVinIsBetter" just to see what kind of reactions I get. XD

It's good to see that Gwen has matured, yeah, but it'd be really nice to see those two slip into old habits. Sadly, I don't think that will happen. Her more mature attitude has been defined already and for her to suddenly call Ben a dweeb and insult his personal hygiene like the good old days would be really out of character. Oh well, we'll always have the fandom.

I was going through some old links in my bookmarks and I found some old general Ben 10 fan comms on LJ. They are soooo dead. It's hilarious how dead they are. I think it was that one girl's "OMG I HAS A GWEVIN COMM WE NEED PEEPS COME JOIN US!!!" which is the LAST post on all the ones I've seen. (I also find it funny that she says she's cross-posted her little announcement to all ben 10 comms. I laugh at her.)
DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW TEMPTING IT IS TO TROLL kevinxgwen??????? There was a post wondering why it wasn't "brimming with people" and I really wanted to reply with some kind of "that's because all the ben 10 fans on LJ are slashers" response. But I didn't cuz I didn't want to be a troll and I didn't want to open the doors for any of them Gwevinlosers to find us. I think they're just telling themselves that the Ben 10 fandom is dead in general on LJ... muahahhahhahahahaa

I find these people absolutely lulzy, though. Their icons suck. XD No mutie!Kev love there. Shame on them! **shakes finger**

My icon is a response to those at that community. I've skimmed some of their work there, since, when I first started watching Alien Force I was actually excited for Gwevin. Really, the can't write a decent Gwen. It is tempting to troll them!

And the reason for the lack of Mutant!Kevin? Because THERE IS NO HINT AT GWEVIN EVER BEING POSSIBLE IN THE ORIGINAL BEN 10 SERIES. NONE. WHAT. SO. EVER.

I never even really read Gwevin stuff. I just never liked that pairing at all. I automatically started looking for Bevin on ff.n as soon as I saw how much Gwevin (with lame-o summaries) was up. We should use the Round Robin accounts to troll them or something. That'd be funny, because then they wouldn't know who to piss at since there's 10 people involved with the Bevin RRs. XD

AHA! I KNEW IT! NO HISTORY WHAT-SO-EVER! HOW CAN KEVIN AND GWEN BE "MADE FOR EACH OTHER" IF THEY DIDN'T EVEN INTERACT WHEN THEY FIRST MET??

And it is sad that those poor little Gwevin fans don't have the history of our ship. They have only Alien Force to glean any kind of "proof".

As it is, I don't even start crap there. It's the Gwevin fans that pick a fight with me. Sadly, I have the instincts of a troll and I only respond with mindless things like "OVER NINE THOUSAND PENISES." and make them go "UGH YOU'RE SUCH A FREAK YOU DISGUSTING FREAK!!!11!"

So, I'm like...A defensive troll. They attack and I return fire with almost all of the stupidity the innernets has to offer.

Wasn't he supposed to be an angry, orphaned, sociopath? "I'm gonna go show this to my mom!" doesn't sound like the Kevin we knew and loved. Unless, you know, his mother is presently pushing daisies and I end up looking like a huge ass...

...Which I already sort of am.

I'm going the dead mommy route. It just makes so much more sense that Kevin would have dead parents. His life sucked tons as a kid, so it makes sense that the universe screwed him over on that one too. I miss the angry sociopath. I want him to come back every once in a while, you know? (This might be the reason the Round Robin is so violent... we want angry sociopathic Kevin back.)

Being an ass is only half the fun of the internets. If you don't make a fool of yourself at least once a week, you're not using the internets often enough.
