IF CHARM GOES GOOD IT'S GOING TO BE LIKE UNF ALL THE TIME
"No."
"I'm afraid you don't understand the intensity of the situation at hand. If he does not access the form then the entire universe will be in great peril." Paradox stated, clearly beginning to tire of the brutes objections. It wasn't like using Alien X would kill Ben, it would just... Trap him in that form for the rest of time. But it was either that, or the destruction of the universe.
"I don't care. He's not doing it. He'll be stuck like that forever!" Kevin grimaced at the time traveler.
"Kevin," Gwen started, "I don't want to lose him either, but... If there's no other way... And it wont kill Ben, it'll just keep him there. And he's safer there anyways."
"The lady makes a fantastic point. And we are quite short on time. Well, you all are anyways. But I digress, we need him to do it. Otherwise, you can start saying your goodbye's now."
With that, the time traveler seemed to vanish into the air, leaving Kevin to scowl at the spot he was at previously. Gwen frowned and placed her hand on his arm, giving him a sympathetic look before leaving the room.
"I don't care if the entire universe is in trouble..." He glared at the door. "He's my entire universe and he's in trouble."

Ben was beginning to worry about his cousin's mental stability. Quite recently, she'd begun talking to herself. Like, having full on conversations with herself. She would say something and she would chuckle or talk in her usual highly intellectual tone. When Kevin interrupted her to ask her who she was talking to, she just shushed him and continued speaking. Needless to say, it was freaking the boys out.
The only thing, Ben noticed was that, while she spoke to herself, her eyes were glowing. He could only wonder what she was doing.
"Yeah. Yeah, no, we're going to find out what he's after soon. Once we get that last piece." She paused. "You have no idea... They're both so dense..."
Kevin watched Gwen speak to herself again before looking at Ben, who was also watching the redhead.
"Gwen?.. Um... Who're you talking to?" Ben held onto his smoothie. Instead of even glancing his way, Gwen simply put her hand up to hush him.
"No, they're both idiots. What? No I'm pretty sure they're totally into each other. I know! It's so completely obvious! I swear, I'm at wits end just trying to get them both to notice." She laughed.
"I'm really getting freaked out here..." Kevin stood and tossed his cup away.
Gwen just continued speaking, her voice lowering to an almost whisper as her cheeks reddened slightly.
"Yeah, me too." Ben grabbed his cup as he got up. "Wanna watch movies at your place until she comes in and gets mad at us for nothing?"
Kevin smirked and headed to the car. "I'm driving."
Ben followed.
"Well, when we come help you, we'll definitely start hanging out. Yeah. I'm sure they'll be fine with it, Charm."
-
Ben kicked his legs impatiently as they waited for Gwen to return. About a minute of that and Kevin practically barked at him for doing it.
"Want to play a game or something?" Ben asked, glancing up at the brute.
"What are you, four?" Kevin rolled his eyes and sat down.
"I was twice!" With a smirk, Ben shifted to face the other boy. "So you want to play a game?"
"Fine, but make it interesting at least."
"Alright... We'll play twenty questions. For every win, the loser has to do one thing the other asks for." Ben grinned widely, watching as Kevin raised a brow in interest.
"Deal. Tonight, you're going to be my bitch." And with that, Kevin started the game.
-
"Dude." Ben nudged Kevin as Gwen and Charmcaster embraced each other in a hug. They'd cleared the bridge together and were, quite clearly excited that they had done so.
Kevin grinned and glanced back at Ben. "We need her to join us. Less nagging Gwen, more power-"
"And more distractions for you and me?"
"And less Gwen nagging." Kevin added again.
"We do need her."

Ben sat beside Kevin as Ship flew off towards home. The planet the portal was on was about a day and a half from Earth, so they were in for a bit of a long ride. They were sore and tired, but none more so than Gwen. She sat by herself, holding onto her arms as she stared back into space, literally... She was staring off as if she could take herself back to it, back into the portal. She wanted to help Charmcaster.
Ben frowned as he stared at his cousin. Kevin placed his arm behind Ben and ran his hand over his back. It would be a quiet ride back home. What do you say to someone when their old enemy changes and you both get closer and- oh... Ben hadn't noticed how similar the situation was to his old one. So he got up and moved to sit beside Gwen.
"I can't believe she actually helped us." Ben looked at her, frowning again when she didn't look back at him.
"She stayed behind to save her people. Maybe she's changed. Who knows, she could become a good guy. And she could join our team!" Ben smiled and placed his hand on her shoulder. She looked at him and sighed.
"She's tough, Gwen. And the second we beat Aggregor, we'll go back and help her. And I bet you we could convince her to hang out with us."
"Would you really give her a chance?" Gwen looked back at Ben, unsure of what to do with herself at the moment.
Ben just smiled again and glanced at Kevin before looking back at Gwen. "I gave him a chance."
Gwen smiled and gave her cousin a quick hug before heading into one of the other rooms.
"You are such a sap, Ben." Kevin snorted and grinned.
"You love it." Ben made his way back over to the brute, seating himself in his lap. "Besides, Gwen's happy now so I think my job is done."
"Your job isn't done yet..." Kevin smirked as he pulled the younger into a kiss.
