Hey y'all! 'Kay, newbie here, so tell me if I'm doin anything wrong.
I've been watching this community for about a month now. And so for a few days I've been thinkin on how to break into the public eye, so to speak. Today in English class we had to write a poem and I wrote some Bevin-y goodness. I thought it would be a good way to introduce myself.


Mine

When I look into your beautiful eyes
When I see your perfect smile
Knowing that you're smiling
Just for me
I sometimes wonder
If maybe you think of her
When I'm thinking of you
But we've made our promises
I know she doesn't mean anything to you
But sometimes I wonder
Do I?
You tell me I hold your heart
In my hands for all to see
But you won't let anyone see us
Maybe it's more to do with this hero thing
How the eyes of the public are always questioning
You think you have to be perfect all the time
Like super-heroes are supposed to be
I know you're super
But you don't have to be a hero all the time
Cuz I know deep down in my heart
I want you to just be mine
So I spirit you away
Out of the public eye
And we hold each other
Just to show our love
But then I wake up
It was all just a dream
They ask you all those questions again
I can't protect you now
Until the night comes
And I'll hold you in my arms
whispering sweet nothings,
making promises I can't keep
