Since I know it's really unclear from his icons alone just how tall this thing is. :D;;

Name: Pommy.
Fandom: Bomberman 64: The Second Attack.
Gender: Male.
Age: Unknown, but tends to act very young and childish/childlike. He's probably a lot older than he looks, but has just forgotten the details of most of what he's experienced and seen.
Time Period: Post-game, in the Good Ending.
Wing Color: Light peach with brown tips, kind of like his ears. (See here for a reference.)
History: The Wikipedia entry and the Bomberman Wikia entry give an overview of the game's plot and the (quite minimal) role Pommy plays in the game; he's basically an optional gameplay element and the comic relief character. I did a more-or-less complete game transcript where you can see what Pommy's canonical dialogue is like.

There's also a (not fully complete) page here on my own personal wiki that details some aspects of Pommy as he appears in my ongoing novelization/expansion of the game, Fateful Meetings.

Personality: Pommy is cheerful and hedonistic -- almost irritatingly so. There's not a lot that seems to get him down, and if it does get him down his ungodly Optimism stats pretty much ensures he's not going to be angsting for long. It's not that he just forgets about whatever upset him, but more that he focuses on whatever's making him happy at the moment, or if there's nothing making him happy at the moment, he finds something to make himself happy. Sometimes it happens that the "something to make himself happy" involves convincing himself and others that he's the cutest and most powerful hero in the galaxy and other such blatherations. Does Pommy actually truly believe the things he boasts about? Perhaps not: despite his childish demeanor, he seems to be aware enough at times about his limitations. But most of the time he doesn't care; him claiming to be a galactic hero is like me claiming to be Pommy on an LJ RP comm. The difference is that Pommy doesn't seem to care that nobody else around him is RPing in the same game he is, which is where he gets into trouble.

The above description may give the impression that Pommy is a self-centered, spoiled individual, and...well...he really kind of is, but it's an egocentrism that's born out of a seemingly permanent state of childhood innocence, and not because he truly believes himself to be the only thing that matters (despite all his bravado about how awesome he is). He's very much capable of caring about others and understanding that there's a world of persons outside of himself. He's willing to apologize when he's realizes he's truly messed up somewhere, and while he might display an unwarranted sense of optimism in really dark times, he usually also has enough sense to understand when he should keep his mouth shut -- though when he does speak seriously about a situation, it might actually be surprisingly thoughtful and considerate. But it's also just as likely to be equally WTF.

Pommy likes food, cute/beautiful females, and playing games (video games, board games, athletic games, all sorts of games! Though there's no point in playing strip poker with him, since he's already technically naked), and dislikes scary things, the dark, and fighting/conflict.

Strengths::
  • emotional/mental - As stated before, Pommy is consistently happy and upbeat to a fault. "Angsting" and "brooding" aren't terms that mean much to him, except that he notices that some cute girls seems to find those traits attractive in a guy, so sometimes he likes to fake it (not that he's very successful at it; the closest he gets is the "sad puppy dog" face). Because he tends to bounce back from adversity very easily, he's usually able to elevate the mood in nearly any situation. Sometimes he does this intentionally, sometimes not.
  • physical - He's very quick and light on his feet, and as a result he's good at distracting enemies. In Soraverse, he also has enhanced hearing (at least as good as a dog's; Pommy claims in Fateful Meetings that he "can hear a bee buzzing from half a mile away or a whisper through a brick wall", but he's prone to exaggeration, as already noted) and although he doesn't have eidetic memory per se, he seems to have enough of a mimicry ability that he was able to execute a roundhouse kick on his first try simply because he'd seen Bomberman do it a few times before.

Weaknesses:
  • emotional/mental - Pommy...really doesn't like conflict or fighting, contrary to what his boasting suggests. He gets scared/frightened very easily, and this can sometimes paralyze him if his "RUN LIKE HELL" instinct doesn't get activated first for whatever reason. Even when he genuinely wants to help, sometimes he just can't get over his fear of fights. Sure, he's seen more than his share of them inside the BHB artificial black hole at the very least, but he's always had Bomberman (and sometimes Lilith) as a buffer: he could indulge in the spectacle without incurring most of the risk. Being in the thick of things is generally the last place he wants to be.
  • physical - Because he's light and small (he's probably under 12 inches tall), he doesn't have a lot of physical strength to harness. So even if he were able to, say, pull off a suplex by watching it once, he couldn't do it on a normal human unless something magickally enhanced his strength. (It should be noted that the roundhouse kick incident mentioned earlier was because Pommy simply wanted a flashy way to close a locker door.)

Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is he heavyset, thin, short, rangy?
Pommy's a round little thing about 12 inches tall, with floppy ears.

2. How old is he?
Not even Pommy knows this, which is baffling to everyone including myself. He acts very young and childish/childlike, but sometimes he'll express sentiments or experiences that seem at odds with his apparently young age.

3. Describe his posture. Does he carry himself well or does he slouch?
Well, something like Pommy doesn't really have much in the way of posture, since it's debatable whether he even has a spine...

4. How is his health? Is he fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities?
Nothing's wrong with Pommy, he's got the all-clear. :Db

5. How does he move? Is he clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid?
Pommy usually...just waddles along. Sometimes he hops or skips if he's in a particularly good mood. A good reference for his movement would be Kirby from the Smash Brothers games.

6. How attractive is this character physically? How does he perceive himself in the mirror?
Pommy's adorable, dammit. And Pommy thinks so too.

7. Describe his complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred?
Peach-pink!

8. Describe his hair: color, texture, style.
He doesn't have hair per se, but I guess he's got super-super-super-super short fur on his main body and his ears.

9. What color are his eyes?
Dark brown to black.

10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features?
Permablush. -^_^-

11. What are his chief tension centers?
...I don't think Pommy has any. o_O

12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does he have six of the same suit?
Pommy doesn't really wear clothes, which is just as well since it's hell to make clothes that will fit the creature. He could swing hats for sure, and he could probably wear some sort of jacket or top but it'd definitely have to be tailored for him. But it's not really necessary unless it's super cold outside.

13. Do his clothes fit well? Does he seem comfortable in them?
See previous question.

14. Does he dress the same on the job as he does in his free time? If not, what are the differences?
See previous question.

15. You knew it was coming: Boxers, briefs or commando?
See previous question.

Speech
1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse?
Very cute and high-pitched. Start at about 5:09 in this vid and you'll hear clips of what he sounds like (as well as a little bit of how he moves).

2. How does he normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does he talk easily, or does he hesitate?
Pommy's a very outgoing character, and he's usually equally adept with getting others to talk or talking about himself to others. He tends to be relaxed and laid-back.

3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics?
He likes to add "myu" to the end of his sentences, or sometimes at the beginning of them. Occasionally he'll swap out a word with it (i.e., "What the myu is going on?").

4. What language/s does he speak, and with how much fluency?
Uh...he definitely speaks the "Common Tongue" that Bomberman and Lilith speak in Fateful Meetings. It's unknown at the moment whether he knows any other languages, but it could be possible.

5. Does he switch languages or dialects in certain situations?
If you make him angry enough, he'll let his tiny pink fists do the talking.

6. Is he a good impromptu speaker, or does he have to think about his words?
Pommy has no problems with talking on the fly. He can get a bit stream-of-conscious-y though.

7. Is he eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change?
Pommy tends to speak in simply constructed sentences, but at least he's good at it. If that makes sense. 8D;;

Mental and Emotional
1. How intelligent is this character? Is he book-smart or street-smart?
IDK? He has a unique sort of..."Pommitelligence" that doesn't really match up with either "book-smart" or "street-smart". He's not stupid, and he's not completely naive either. He's just...odd.

2. Does he think on his feet, or does he need time to deliberate?
Pommy gets bored with thinking too long. Usually he likes to go with his first few thoughts.

3. Describe the character's thought process. Is he more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical?
Definitely more intuitive and idealistic. He can think through things logically, but it's not his first instinct.

4. What kind of education has the character had?
Probably none.

5. What are his areas of expertise? What, if anything, is he interested in learning more about?
Pommy's really a marshmallow-of-all-trades, master-of-none. He can't keep his attention anchored for long enough to really delve into something in-depth, but he can be a quick and enthusiastic learner for a little bit.

6. Is he an introvert or an extrovert?
Extrovert. Pommy can keep himself entertained on his own, but he prefers being around other people...even if they're kind of scary.

7. Describe the character's temperament. Is he even-tempered or does he have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven?
Cheerful and laid-back for the most part. Pommy does what Pommy does.

8. How does he respond to new people or situations? Is he suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic?
Pommy's usually curious about new things and situations if they don't seem too confrontational or violent.

9. Is he more likely to act, or to react?
More likely to react.

10. Which is his default: fight or flight?
Flight, as much as he likes to brag otherwise.

11. Describe the character's sense of humor. Does he appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks?
Pommy can definitely appreciate a good laugh, although he'd probably get indignant if someone pulled a prank on him.

12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does he deal with them?
Unless you consider "being Pommy" a mental disorder...

13. What moments in this character's life have defined him as a person?
Not much is known about his life prior to the events of TSA, but he draws a lot of inspiration and hope from having met Bomberman and Lilith (though he's kind of tsundere about his admiration for the bomber). Although Pommy likes being with people, it doesn't seem he's had any significant emotional attachment to anyone prior to meeting Bomberman inside the BHB black hole. This may simply be a result of his determination to just enjoy his life and be all que sera sera about things, and not because he just doesn't care.

14. What does he fear?
He doesn't like being alone or not having friends, and hates serious confrontation.

15. What are his hopes or aspirations?
He just wants to have a good time and live a good life.

16. What is something he doesn't want anyone to find out about him?
Pommy has no secrets that I know of. :D;;;

Relationships
1. Describe this character's relationship with his parents.
Pommy had parents?

2. Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like?
No clue.

3. Are there other blood relatives to whom he is close? Are there ones he can't stand?
None that I know of.

4. Are there other, unrelated people whom he considers part of his family? What are his relationships with them?
See the next question...

5. Who is/was the character's best friend? How did they meet?
Bomberman/Shiro is Pommy's closest pal at this point, and he kind of occupies a role between friend and guardian. Apparently the bond they forged via surviving the artificial black hole was strong enough that Pommy left behind his old "family" on Ksa2 with barely a backward thought and accompanied Shiro home to Bomber Star. Prior to being bamfed to Luceti, Pommy was living in Shiro's apartment as kind of a pet/roommate.

6. Does he have other close friends?
Not close friends, but being stuck at the apartment while Shiro goes to school or work or whatever meant that Pommy has had a lot of time to spend with Shiro's landlady, Sheba Alruana, who's also his counselor (...yeah, it's kind of a messy backstory). Mostly he likes her food, but she's also a rather attractive and compassionate lady, if a bit old for Pommy's tastes.

7. Does he make friends easily, or does he have trouble getting along with people?
It's very easy to befriend Pommy if you can tolerate his cheerful oddness and nonsequitors.

8. Which does he consider more important: family or friends?
Pommy doesn't seem to have any real blood family (that he remembers), so the line tends to get blurred with the people he considers his friends.

9. Is the character single, married, divorced, widowed? Has he been married more than once?
Single.

10. Is he currently in a romantic relationship with someone other than a spouse?
Nope!

11. Who was his first crush? Who is his latest?
First crush is unknown, but he definitely had a thing for Lilith when he met her in the black hole. It kind of died away once he realized that 1) Lilith was a half-demon who could actually be kind of frightening and scary, and 2) she was already dating Rukifellth.

12. What does he look for in a romantic partner?
Cute/pretty, kind, and female. Nearly everything else is negotiable.

13. Does the character have children? Grandchildren? If yes, how does he relate to them? If no, does he want any?
[The author will come back to answer this question once she resurrects herself from death by lolcohol poisoning.]

14. Does he have any rivals or enemies?
Not that Pommy knows of. But it's really hard for this guy to really make any genuine enemies, though it's not impossible for him to consider himself a rival to someone (who may not be aware of this "rivalry").

15. What is the character's sexual orientation? Where does he fall on the Kinsey scale?
Pommy's so straight that he makes a ruler look like a donut. Not that he reacts with revulsion to attractive members of the same gender, it's more that he's just not interested though he'll admit that Shiro makes a very pretty girl.

16. How does he feel about sex? How important is it to him?
He's a little baffled by it. He understands that it happens and why it happens, but it still kind of baffles him (and grosses him out a little).

17. What are his turn-ons? Turn-offs? Weird bedroom habits?
...loooooool.

Beliefs
1. Do you know your character's astrological (zodiac of choice) sign? How well does he fit type?
No clue what his sign would be.

2. Is this character religious, spiritual, both, or neither? How important are these elements in his life?
Neither -- I doubt Pommy gave much thought to those things until he got stuck with Shiro in the BHB black hole and suddenly was faced with the reality of seven brainwashed (well, six, technically, since Bulzeeb/Regulus was only pretending) elemental demigods, the god of evil, the goddess of justice, and then eventually the creator of the entire fucking universe. He's still not either religious or spiritual (and Shiro's not exactly either of those himself, so Pommy wouldn't pick it up from him), but he knows those entities are out there.

3. Does this character have a personal code of morals or ethics? If so, how did that begin? What would it take to compromise it?
Pommy's personal code basically boils down to things like "try to be nice to everyone so you can make friends with them instead of fighting with them".

4. How does he regard beliefs that differ from his? Is he tolerant, intolerant, curious, indifferent?
Mostly curious and tolerant about them.

5. What prejudices does he hold? Are they irrational or does he have a good reason for them?
Pommy's pretty open-minded, if only because he has more important things to care about (like eating good food and having fun).

Daily Life
1. What is the character's financial situation? Is he rich, poor, comfortable, in debt?
Prior to Luceti, Pommy lived with Shiro, who's essentially a university student (whose assignments happen to involve laying the smackdown on wrongdoers...), but Shiro was well-off enough that he was able to provide for Pommy.

2. What is his social status? Has this changed over time, and if so, how has the change affected him?
Being stuck in Luceti means that Pommy's really on his own for the first time in a while. He's kind of excited...but also a little scared and kind of lonely. Be nice to this living creampuff, please, and invite him over for meals! ('Cause Pommy doesn't really know how to cook. XD)

3. Where does he live? House, apartment, trailer? Is his home his castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does he share it with others?
Pommy lives in room #2 on the first floor of Community Housing Building #4, and it's more a place to crash if he can't find anyone who wants to let him stay at their place. He'll want to furnish it eventually, but more importantly he's probably going to have to think of modifications he can make to the place to compensate for the fact that he's only one foot tall. (o_o)-b

4. Besides the basic necessities, what does he spend his money on?
but I thought there was no money in Luceti Pommy actually hasn't handled a lot of money in his life. If he did have money of his own, he'd probably spend it on food, food, and more food.

5. What does he do for a living? Is he good at it? Does he enjoy it, or would he rather be doing something else?
Pommy's job is being cute. SO THERE.

6. What are his interests or hobbies? How does he spend his free time?
Pommy likes playing games (board games, video games) and talking with people. If he can play games while talking with people, so much the better. When he's not doing either of those things, he'll probably be working on his Shiny of the Moment, which is whatever has caught his fancy for the time being (maybe it's reading mystery novels, maybe it's trying to paint, maybe it's learning how to make jewelry -- it changes over time).

7. What are his eating habits? Does he skip meals, eat out, drink alcohol, avoid certain foods?
Pommy loooooooves to eat. He'll try nearly anything, though he loves desserts of all kinds. Alcohol just puts him to sleep though. Not that that'll stop him if the drink tastes good enough (so, no beer or vodka, but things like Bailey's Irish Cream and daquiris and other such "girly" drinks).
