you lie like a rug..
Yesterday was the BIG 180 WINTER KICKOFF MOVIE NIGHT! I stayed at church all day to help get ready for it. We had to move the Kidtown screen up to the Loft, and move the furniture from one side to the other. We sweeped up the kitchen area, and moved the projector upstairs. And then we went to the thrift store! Heck yes. We had to get a table to set the TVs on. which cost us a total of $10. so after we got that set up we watched the Kidtown DVD. haha. That thing is HIGH TECH. its got, like, music videos and funny stuff. When I was in Kid Church, we had an overhead projector that we projected onto the wall. And maybe a cassette tape with the songs on it. Then in the 4th grade someone started playing guitar. And the object lesson? They showed us a SLIDE SHOW. im talking old school slide show. where you've got to press the button to make it switch...ok thats enough reminiscing. So then David put in Frosty the Snowman! No, seriously, everyone was watching that thing with an interest. JT came! I ran up to him and gave him a hug, which I think freaked him out a little bit, but I hadn't seen him since Fall Festival. Patrick came with Auriel and played basketball with a whole bunch of guys he didnt know..haha. Rob came as we were starting Finding Nemo, and Julie, Brittany, and Dave showed up too. So it was rad. We ate popcorn and watched Nemo and said every line...haha. 'Courtney, the movie stops when I press the pause button.' Thanks, David. I KNOW WHAT THE PAUSE BUTTON IS NOW! yay! haha.
Today was, of course, the dreaded school day thats been in the back of our heads since break started. Spanish was sort of boring, we did the fashion show and then we read the 'cultural perspective' part in the book about 50 times. then we played a spelling game which the girls straight up beasted in. Had lunch and played Hangman in study block with the girl behind me. Biology was really boring, we went over a quiz and the whole rest of the block we took notes on photosynthesis. But I had my biology buddies there, so it was cool. Biology is probably just about my favorite class cuz of those three. Geometry = boring. thats all i have to say about that one.
i've got dance in a couple of hours, and i really dont want to go, but i shall push through the pain in my pointe shoe and perform! peace out.
