Fandom Snowflake Challenge 2022 - Day 1
Challenge #1: In your own space, update your fandom information!
Normally I love organizing my digital space, but I think I'm going to leave things be for now; my mindset is not in the right place. :0 I might tackle it properly later this month, we'll see. Things are mostly in order already and my tags are up-to-date, so sorting shouldn't be too bad.
What I'll do instead is describe what I'm currently obsessing over. Vanitas no Carte is a given, so I will not be discussing that. XD I will get my most recent meta cross-posted, though; I keep meaning to do that.
Moving on!
1) Thief: Gold - Originally I was replaying the Dishonored series and I was having a good time, but then I realized it was missing a certain something as I progressed through the second game again. Idly, I figured I may as well start Thief: Gold up again and see if I was up to finishing it a second time properly. Turns out the answer to this was a decided "yes." This game has taken over most of my thoughts of late and I have gotten to one of my favorite missions of the game: "The Sword." This feels like the real turning point of the game where you go from what are still pretty strange thieving missions to super strange thieving missions and I am here for it. This mission has everything: a mansion, a forest inside that mansion, doors that go nowhere, doors that go somewhere impossible, bending physics, an entirely hidden stage within the stage...
Basically, I want to live in Constantine's Mansions. I think I would be much happier there. I have finally gotten screenshots to work again, so expect an influx of those at some point.
2) LOTRO Yule Festival - Got the game to stop crashing (mostly), so I did the annual Yule festival. I have made a point this year not to clean the dishes, though. XD The holly outfits are quite lovely, so it's been fun. I also got my hands on War of the Three Peaks expansion since they had a massive sale, which means my LOTRO existence is made infinitely better with a pet donkey at my side. I absolutely love donkeys, so the joy is real.
3) Gravity Falls - I never saw this show in its heyday, but my brother watched it recently, said it was really good, so I gave it a go and had a good time. (^^) I want all of Mabel's sweaters. I would also like to have Waddles. Pigs are so cute...
Things I Plan On Doing: Watching that Boba Fett show because I have a mighty need. I also plan on watching Death to 2021. I hope this becomes a 2020s tradition, honestly. Oh, and I'll be watching Big Fat Quiz of the Year, another annual tradition. I have several books I'm in the middle of, so finishing a couple of those would be good...
Lately I've been having very clear images of some of the characters in my original stories, so I figure I'll get to working on that more consistently. I always envision this one story as a graphic novel, but my art skills aren't good enough for that, so I figure I'll write it up as a novel in the meantime. Ultimately I just want their adventures told and writing them is an important first step of that process. 8D
