I legitimately thought this must be something from
posts-from-a-darker-timeline but no, it's
apparently real?
Anyway, I can't think of a single person who thinks charging a subscription for their blog on Tumblr is a good idea and everyone is being quite vocal about it. They have a
survey form to air your grievances share your thoughts, but I'm hesitant to fill it out because, frankly, I still can't quite believe this is a real thing and not really elaborate spam. 8D (Okay, I triple checked and it is
still real. Um.) (Also, I have now filled out the form.)
But I mean, think of the potential lawsuits! If people start charging for their fanfic over there or their meta or what have you it can only go downhill. I just... There have always been jokes about this happening, but I never really expected it. (^^)" I know Tumblr's userbase has been on the decline for a while, but are things really that bad? I guess they must be...
Edit: In my shock, I accidentally linked the subscription link instead of the survey link. XD In my defense, their post said "fill out this form" and I latched onto that before realizing I needed the "get in touch" form instead. Anyway, should be fixed now...
Edit 2: Apparently Twitter just announced they're testing out a "dislike" feature today as well, and it's reaching the point where the whole thing is almost hilarious.
