24 hours later... and I am not 'Up Over' anymore

I'm back in Brisbane again... the bags are unpacked (sort of), the actual luggage has been emptied and put away, but lots of things are in piles *close* to where they need to be (the closet, in the laundry, etc)

It feels kinda subdued to be back.

-Its winter (and kinda cool out - for Brisbane)
-Its closing in on the shortest day of the year
-apartment is kinda a mess
-lots of laundry to do
-no (perishable) food in the fridge right now
-the fan/motor in my laser jet seems to not be okay. It was buzzing much loader than normal, and when I bent down to inspect noticed a bit of "small motor overheating" smell (kinda like the smell of a hairdryer that was run on high heat for too long)
- cat threw up on the guest bed, and it seems that didn't get noticed (or cleaned) in my absence (even more laundry)

On the upside, the cat was definitely happy to see me, she's following me around a bit more attentively than she usually does.

I am generally feeling a little somber at the very end of a trip home when I am getting on the plane, but usually (the flights from the US arrive in the early morning hours 6am-ish) I am arriving on Monday morning, not sunday, and am rushing home from airport to shower and then rush into the office.

I should let this be a lesson to me - in the future I ought to try and schedule something with a friend on the day I arrive back... so I have something to do, to get me out of the house, have someone say 'welcome back', etc...

I am thinking a scoot to the grocery to fetch some juice & produce should help perk me up
