One of the things I found particularly amusing was that the two people who added a comment to my "What color..." post/poll [this one] to SPECIFICALLY indicate that they had no idea and were making a wild guess, were coincidentally the two people to actually guess the color correctly?
The drab overcast sky isn't helping to show off herself and her coloration... but she is in fact PLUM! (just a richer color with more depth and warmth than this lighting would suggest). Call it Wine (the color of red wine, Mmmm), call it the color of Chianti, just don't tell me it is purple :-D
My original little 50cc scooter (silver) sold already... I posted an ad online Friday night, and the first person to come see it on Saturday bought it. So that was rather a shockingly simple and painless process. I was surprisingly sad/uneasy to see her driven off by another. She (the scooter) was actually the only vehicle I have ever bought new from a dealer, and entirely picked out for myself. It makes me a little uneasy-feeling even now, thinking about the fact that scooter #1 is gone, for good. Oh well. I think part of what is making me a little sad, was that the new owner pulled away on the scooter kind of careening-off in a not-quite-in-full-control way, just barely missing grazing the column that bounds-in my parking space in my building's parking garage. I cringed (at this point the transfer papers were signed, and payment had already been made in full). I hope she (the scooter) will be okay... be kind to her.
