Weekend
Finally, I actually got to leave the island! Gahhh. I had been going mental! This is what happens when you live off of student allowance. You live the life of solitude due to poverty.
Anyway, I went down to Kingston on the train (a good 2 hour train ride) to have a video night with Beck, since Bryan was away fishing. We watched 27 dresses, Atonement, and The Princess Bride; I'd seen the last one heaps of times but the first two I was a first time viewer. I enjoyed the second one the most, even if it was a bit tragic. James McAvoy is a bit of alright, I reckon :D.
And today Beck and I met Laura and her current bloke for lunch. By "met" I mean Beck and I arrived 30 minutes before Laura did and we just ordered. I forgot to give my usual "Laura" time (usually I tell her to be there by a time 20 minutes before I really need her to be there) but it worked out well in the end. I think Beck and I achieved our goal of having the bf think we were completely mental, since was he shaking his head and laughing at us. Was fun. Ooh, and we did a bit of shopping for Mother's Day, and paid the deposit for the Rhine cruise! Yay! It's starting to seem alot more real now, and it's heaps exciting.
Next time, it's bowling, ice skating, and a picnic in New Farm park, if Laura is a reliable source. Which she isn't. But it sounds like fun anyway, doesn't it?
