Most of you on my friends list are aware of the brilliance that is singer/songwriter Casey Stratton. If any of you are not aware of him, please look into him if you are a fan of good songwriting. Casey is a shiny diamond in this musical landscape of crap that we have force-fed to us these days. There are so few singer/songwiters anymore who truly delve down into their souls to put the things we all feel at some time or another into song. His voice is one of the most unique and beautiful instruments I've ever heard.
This brings me to:
At midnight tonight, Casey's new album "Orbit" was released through his website as a digital pre-release download. Here's how it works...you go to his website, www.caseystratton.com, and you can purchase the whole album as a digital download using paypal. In eight weeks when the physical cd is released those who purchased the advance download will automatically be mailed the physical release complete with the as yet to be determined artwork, etc.
About "Orbit": I really have nothing to say except that to me it is one of the finest things Casey has released to date. And that's saying alot because he's already done amazing work. Songs of this caliber have to be taken by the listener and applied to their own experiences. All I can say is that this album knocks me on my ass. I'm so happy it's finally out there to be enjoyed by others. I'm really excited to see the response to this album. I trust it will be positive as I feel it's sublime.
