Haha, okay. So today I read
this article about twin brothers who play doubles tennis, and the whole time I'm reading about how they never spend any time apart and they used to crawl into each other's beds and one even moved a mattress into the other one's dorm at Stanford because they couldn't live apart and they share a house and a car and they're such good tennis partners that people think they're telepathic, I wasn't thinking, "Okay, wow, that's kind of codependent and creepy," I was thinking, "Aw, they're totally the Sam & Dean of tennis!" One even tried to go off and have an awesome solo career, but he got lonely without the other one, so now they just play doubles. It's kind of hilarious.
And I don't know if it's the premiere coming up and me thinking about it more or what, but I've been having a very Sam/Dean few days - last week, a coworker and I went to Jamba Juice for lunch and decided to walk around Lake Calhoun (which is kind of Minneapolis's pretty-people-showing-off-their-six-packs workout location), and there were these two guys there that had matching tattoos in exactly the same place as Sam and Dean! They were different tattoos, but it was still kind of funny. And when I said, "Wow, matching tattoos," to my coworker, he immediately said, "That's true love right there." Ha.
And this is not fandom-related, but I had a horribly awkward work moment today. My company recently hired a new COO, and she reminds me SO much of someone, but I had no idea who. Until today, when it suddenly hit me that she looks and talks JUST like a gynecologist I used to see. And of course I realized that right as she was ushering me into her office for a meeting and closing the door behind me and gesturing for me to have a seat next to her desk, because my brain was going, "Why the hell does this all seem so familiar??" Yeah. SO awkward.
