okay, today is FIRED.
Ugh, okay, today has been the most horribly awkward day EVER.
First, I accidentally tricked my boss into an awkward sex pun at our staff meeting this morning. He was talking about this client that he always invites to events, even though she never shows up, and one of my coworkers was like, "Well, then why invite her?"
Boss: Because it makes her feel good.
Me: But not good enough to actually come?
Boss: No, apparently I don't make her feel good enough to c - uh, attend.
HAHA, whoops? Yeah, that was awkward. And then I was going through this grant application that was for a photography exhibit, and. It was pretty much the most bizarre photography EVER. This woman's thing is apparently men in business suits - specifically how suits attempt to hide men's "homoerotic tendencies." I am not even making this up. So there were a bunch of under-the-table close-up crotch shots of men's junk in suit pants, basically, along with a photo of what seriously looked like a man swimming naked in a sea of jizz. The best part was, the exhibit is supposed to be about a new kind of femininity. With no pictures of any actual FEMALES. I don't even know.
And then! Then I was sitting on my bed in my room and the world's most GIANT moth came flying across the room and DIVEBOMBED INTO MY CLEAVAGE. Just, like, I saw something coming at me and BAM, moth straight down the front of my shirt. And so of course I was shrieking and flailing and trying to get it OUT OF MY SHIRT and my laptop flew across the room, and. Yeah. Now I have big scratch marks on my stomach and I'm slightly traumatized that an insect got to second base with me. Today is officially fired.
But! There was one good thing, which is that the awesome juice817 podficced Spin the Light to Gold! It's here, if anyone is interested in downloading. I haven't had time to listen yet (FOUR HOURS, holy crap that fic is long), but I'm kind of ridiculously excited! <333
(And speaking of fic-type things, I am almost done with one! Apparently I haven't learned my lesson, though, because it's over 45K and I still have three scenes to go. Yikes.)
