them other boys don't know how to act

Oh, man.  I feel like I have a bunch of stuff to say, but I know I won't remember it all.  For some reason I feel a little out of it with fandom, even though nothing has happened.

Anyway, first of all, the recent J2-ness all over my flist has been pretty much the best thing ever.  I was having a totally awful day on Saturday (three hours of sleep, getting lost in Minneapolis, new volunteer thing that was way too hectic, and a weird text message from an ex - ugh) and then having all of that love on Sunday was so awesome.  Part of me wants to put on my tinhat and analyze everything (like Jared saying he's never been so attracted to Jensen's torso - so he admits he's been attracted to it before!) and the other part of me is just happy that they're so adorable and such good friends and awesome, hilarious boys.  ♥   We're the luckiest fandom ever.

And second, I know I'm extremely late to the party, but

Holy god, Sam getting groped by Gert was so awesome.  I was actually worried he might wear out the bitchface, he was making it so much.  Oh, Sam, I love your little dimple-y bitchface more than is healthy.  Also, "firm all over" was just gold.  And I have no doubt it's true, which is why I'm kind of jealous of Gert.

Also, I am always baffled by this in horror movies and such, but why the fuck do people hear strange noises in their own homes and say, "Hello?"  I mean, seriously, what are they expecting to happen?  A neighbor to pop out and say, "Oh, hi, I just wanted to borrow some sugar, so I let myself into your house and was just skulking around your bathroom?"  If you think you're alone and you're hearing weird noises, advertising right where you are might not be the best idea.  And even if you live with other people who might conceivably be making those noises,  I'd be a little worried about them creeping around when I'm half-naked.  Unless that guy was thinking it was just his brother sneaking up on him in the bathroom, to which I say innnnnteresting.

I wish Dean and Bela could have snarked a little more equally (snarky banter is so my weakness) but the angry sex thing and Dean's "Don't objectify me!" reply (after all those faces - god, the boys were all over the faces) was fun.  Although now I'm convinced Bela reads fanfic, because of that line and the way she was looking at the boys all night.  Maybe she writes some, too.

Anyway, in conclusion, the boys wore tuxes and continued their trend of increasing in prettiness, and they even discussed some issues.  I am happy.
And then, just because they cracked me up, two gems from my mom tonight.

1. She told me that my brother called, and she said, "He says to tell you that he's putting the sexy back into the fall formal, whatever that means."
Me:  "You mean, he said he's bringing sexy back at the winter formal?"
Her:  "Yeah.  That."

Either way, a little worrying.

2. Then, at the dinner table:
Me:  "Did you hear that thing about Dumbledore being gay?"
Her:  "No."
Me: "JKR did an interview and said that in her mind, Dumbledore has always been gay."
Her: "...what about Harry?"

So she's clueless about Justin Timberlake but all for slashing Harry.  *facepalm*

wtf?, life, spn
