took a while
I remember seeing this picture in Valencia on a hearing aid shop almost 20 odd years ago and falling in love with it. We just happened to walk in front of the same shop yesterday and I told R. about it and how much I liked it but had never seen it again. Obviously an hour later just walking past another hearing aid shop near my folks there it was on the wall. Google came up with the goods.
This is a five year old kid who was born completely deaf. He has just been fitted a hearing aid and has heard for the first time the sound of his own voice. The photographer was there at the ready. It might not be the most beautiful, most technically accomplished picture ever taken but I truly do not think I will ever find one that I like better.
