Top Chef Masters

Wednesday night I finally remembered it was on and watched Top Chef Masters. Both the repeat of last week and the new episode. I loved it. I was just so pleasantly surprised by the program. I definitely hope that they take some of the elements from TCM to regular TC. I like that "star" bonus the QF offers. And it's so refreshing to see chefs NOT try to throw each other under the bus (it's why I'm digging "Chopped" over on the Food Network as well). I'm really getting tired of the drama and trainwrecks.

And I too would like to see the girl scouts return to be QF critics. :)

I love Chopped! I was even watching the reruns before the new season started (but poor Ted drove me nuts at first because dude was noticably reading teleprompters like a robot), and I love Ted.

I'm hoping this season they give Ted the opportunity to playfully snark a bit more. :)

I wasn't sure about Chopped at first but it's definitely grown on me. Maybe as Ted has gotten more comfortable like aurora points out?

What do you think of Next Food Network Star?

Haven't watched too much of it, to be honest. Then again, I'm NOT a Bobby Flay fan. :p

Oh dude. I hated him. Absolutely loathed the guy. And then I started watching Throwdown and now I like him. Enough to root for him during Iron Chef battles (though I still get perverse pleasure when he looses). I've only seen bits of last season's NFNS so I don't really have much of an opinion yet.
