When beauty fades
first off, this one goes out to my girl chelsea! your sn really inspired this!
when beauty fades its all downhill. so many of us take on this worldly view of an image. outward is the new in. you can be empty inside, and yet, to the world, you are full of everything they want to be. ive recently had a conversation with my sister about this challenging issue. we asked ourselves this question...and i challenge you to ask yourself: what is beauty? not a very complex question, granted....but really. what is it? is it in make up, clothes, fragrance, touch, taste....dare i say personality and integrity? theres the famous saying that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. wonderful quote. i do believe very strongley that each human has their perspective of beauty. and i might add that i do believe that some things are very beautiful and not given proper recognition. so now that youre here, i suppose i can spill my guts about the beautiful things in life...
THE SKY...clouds, sun, moon, stars
THE EARTH...grass, trees, flowers, its creatures
PEOPLE...all of them. though they are not all "beautiful" by the worlds standards, i believe that we should see our neighbors as God sees them. beautiful.
EMOTIONS...though we should not act on them always, i think they are beautiful expressions of Gods blessings
FRIENDS...not aquaintences, but those who will tell you what you dont want to hear and listen to what they dont want to hear, and hold you accountable in the sight of God.
FAMILY...though all are not perfect, they are all the main battle grounds for the enemys work...safeguard them with all you have!
OURSELVES...we are not by any means perfect...COMPARED TO GOD! and yet, the beautiful thing is that he made us in his image, so therefore, we ARE perfect inhis eyes. but we need to keep that up by praying for refinement.
MISTAKES...if we had none, how would we know what is right, and what is wrong? wed all be running around blind, deaf and dumb!
ACCOPLISHMENTS...not to be boastful of them, but to give credit where credits due...God. nothing is accoplished without him.
GOD...plain and simply, we would not know beautiful without his creations and acts of loving kindness.
THE CROSS...we are forgiven by the blood of our savior...what more is there to say?! we are saved form the firey pits of hell, and are to be welcomed into the courts of our God!
anything else? sure...but those are the most beautiful things i can think of. you see, not everything that is beautiful has to be outward...if it was, then beauty would be a thing of temporal value...when beauty fades, what is left? what is in your life that will stay beautiful when your outward beauty fades?
