Thanks to GMTH for letting me make this post.
The LJ Advisory Board election is the first of its kind, where LJ members vote for an LJ member to sit on the board for one year. As this is the first election, it and its results are particularly important.
Because of this I urge you to support and vote for the three fandom candidates legomymalfoy, rm and vichan.

The voting process is one where voters pick three preferences. In the event that one candidate does not receive 51% of the first preference votes an Instant Run Off occurs where the candidates with the least votes are eliminated [one by one I believe] and their votes are reassigned according to second preference. If no candidate has 51% by the end of this stage it is then repeated with third preference votes. If no candidate has 51% of the votes at this point the election is won by the candidate with the most first preference votes.

Overall, I really want to encourage LJ members to vote-democracy requires participation, but please do not vote with sockpuppet accounts. Instead, please pass this message on to your flist and any communities to spread the message and help support fandom and fight unfair censorship by supporting the fandom candidates legomymalfoy, rm and vichan.
