Alone Again

It's just another boring night at my apartment and I'm sitting on the loveseat since Ci has to sleep and I type too loud and I would want light to do the things I want to do. But...at least I can still mess around on Shigi out in the living room?

Anyhoo, life has been pretty okay the last few days. Still not quite over my cold, but at least the engagement photo shoot was canceled for a reason other than my stuffy nose. We were planning on taking them on the 6th. Which turned out to be the day it started raining in Utah. And rained. A lot. So, needless to say, pictures have been delayed to the 20th.

Why so much later, you ask? Well, it's because I'm leaving for Hawaii on the 9th. And returning the morning of the 18th. This sorta, y'know, makes it hard to take engagement pictures here in Utah. Pros of this are many, Cons are a few. It'll suck if I'm still sick, but at least the worst of it is over. I'm just a little sniffly and cough here and there. I need to do laundry tomorrow since I don't have enough clean clothes for the trip and I doubt they'll have any laundry facilities nor time for me to do that...

This makes for a busy day tomorrow. Along with laundry, I need to pack, look over the invitation proof they'll call to tell me about (with Brazil, of course) and actually go into work. I haven't gone in the last two days (terrible, I know!) but there's not a whole lot I can do at the moment. So, the urge to go....drops drastically. I also MUST apply for jobs tomorrow, since, I...y'know....haven't yet. And I've been saying this for how long? I don't want to know, actually.

Got three used Nintendo GameCube controllers and managed to track down a copy of Super Mario Smash Brothers Melee. Logged a good few hours on it and I still have to learn what all the buttons are. Poor Brazil has to put up with it, too. He'll give me a quick tip "Just hit left and B." And I try not to grit my teeth. I really just wish I didn't have to work so hard at...being up to par with people who play so often. Or have played for much more in the past. The concept of the B button and A button and such just doesn't stick with me, apparently. *sigh* At least I'm getting it a little better now? A is the big yellow one, B is the small red one, I think. ...but I still have to think about it as I'm playing. And connect Y with jumping and B with smash attacks and yadda yadda.

Very tiresome it is. Especially when one of the previous owners of one of the controllers put chocolate or some other crap on their hands before playing. Cleaning up other people's crap is...fun? Right.

Also went shopping for "work clothes". I now am the proud owner of a suit jacket and pant set. Yay for overpriced Banana Republic clothes?

And Ti's home finally. With random cookware and discussions of PotC:3! Yay!
