Yesterday's post was vaguely angsty and while I look back on it and sigh, it expressed my emotion for a good portion of the day. Or at least the portion I remember. Today, though, was much better.
Got into work, got things done, ate lunch with Brazil, talked to a career counselor at BYU and finally have a path to follow so that I can make more than $7.50 an hour and be bored out of my mind. I'm starting to dread going to work. This is a very definite sign that I need to change things...and so I'm looking for new employment. Here's hoping the suggested resources/websites come up with good results. I've missed having a job that I really like. (Not that this one hasn't had it's great moments. It just gets...tedious. And thus I get lazy and easily distracted.)
Also talked to Mom and figured out more of what's gonna happen from Wednesday-Saturday. It's looking a little like this:
Wednesday: Work, (job hunt?) Mom and Dad arrive, meet with them around 5ish? Go to SL and look at City Creek Park, have Brazil meet them, go out to dinner. Bum around SL?
Thursday: Work, (job hunt?) go shopping with Mom (probably. I hadn't discussed an actual date for it yet, but this looks like our best option). Dad and Brazil will likely tag along for a lack of something else to do...this could be a very strange shopping trip. But I am determined to still get many cute/necessary things. Yes.
Friday: Work, (job hunt?) go to dinner at 6 at Thai Ruby and have both sets of parents meet. Things should go from there.
Saturday: Brazil's having a lan party in the morning, I'll likely bum with my parents, then Brazil and I have a date set for more SHU action (the table top rp)
...and yeah. That's life. But I'm definitely glad this "being optimistic" and "doing stuff" is paying off. Plus we played Racquetball tonight. Didn't get an actual game going, but...it was fun to hit the ball around. Though we sorta got booted for not having "BYU issue" t-shirts. We um...snuck out after being told to get them. *cough*
And Brazil's chocolate/banana/oatmeal shake things are good. Even better with ice in them. Mmmm, cold chocolate things.
