When I said earlier today that it would be official soon, well...I guess I'm just psychic or something. Or he'd said he'd do it by Sunday... *cough*

So it's official.

The engagement thing, y'know, if you were wondering. August 17th is the date!

Congratulations on it being official now! So if the wedding is Aug. 17th, when's the reception, or do you not know yet? And when do we get pictures of the ring? ^_^

Thank you! The reception (in Washington) is on the 25th, so you guys are definitely invited to that. And it's gonna be at my house at that! I'll physically have the real ring on Wednesday, so you'll see it after that. (I'm wearing a "place holder" ring at the moment. My black celtic-ish one I got from the Tall Ship Show if you remember it.)

Congrats again! I kept wondering what you meant by "official." I thought, "They've told their families, made a general announcement on LJ, set a tentative date for the wedding, and put money down on a ring. How much more 'official' can it get?" It didn't occur to me that he hadn't done the actual popping-of-the-question yet.
