I found some of these things last night in one of my devotional books so I thought I'd share them with you all. Hope you like em'!

*Man cannot discover new oceans unless he had the courage to lose sight of the shore.
PLaying life's game to the fullest requires taking risks. Without risk, life has little emotion, little that can be counted as exhilarating or fulfulling.
-To LAUGH is to risk appearing the fool.
-To WEEP is to risk appearing sentimental.
-To REACH OUT FOR ANOTHER is to risk involvement.
-To EXPOSE FEELINGS is to risk exposing one's true self.
-To PLACE IDEAS AND DREAMS BEFORE A CROWD is to risk ridicule.
-To LOVE is to risk not being loved in return.
-To LIVE is to risk dying.
-To HOPE is to risk despair.
-To TRY is to risk failure.
Yet the person who risks nothing does nothing, has nothing, and ultimately becomes nothing. Don't be afraid to go for it. Get down out of the stands and play ball!
Peter got out of the boat, and walked on the water and came toward Jesus. (Matthew 14:29)

*Carve your name on hearts and not on marble.
Touched lives are the most important monument you can leave. When you treat people with that kind of love, you are impressing your name upon their hearts.
The only letter I need is you yourselves!...They can see that you are a letter from Christ, written by us...not one carved on stone, but in human hearts.(2 Corinthians 3:2-3)

*The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.
Believe in your dreams. With God, all things are possible.
"Anything is possible if you have faith." (Mark 9:23)

*We should behave to our friends as we would wish our friends to behave to us.
True friendship is not based on what a freind does for you, but on what he means to you.
As ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise. (Luke 6:31)

*The happiest people don't necessarily have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything.
How are you looking at life today? As an accident waiting to happen or a blessing about to be recieved?
I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content...I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.(Philippians 4:11,13)

*You may be disappointed if you fail, but you are doomed if you don't try.
Regardless of the arena in which you compete, winning is not what is truly important. Giving your best effort to a challenge is what molds within you the lasting traits and character that are better than gold.
The sluggard craves and gets nothing, but the desires of the diligent are fully satisfied.(Proverbs 13:4)

*In trying times, don't quit trying.
When rejection shakes your resolve and dims your goals, keep on trying. If you do not quit, one day, you will be living out your dreams!
The righteous also shall hold on his way, and he that hath cleans hands shall be stronger and stronger.(Job 17:9)
