No actual smoke escaped from the dryer. However, the drum has stopped turning and there was a definite smell of something burning.
I finished the load up at the laundromat. Waiting till Pixel gets back from Quest to see if we're going to try getting it fixed or replace it. Considering the number of other things wrong with it, I lean toward replacement, even though I don't really want to spend the money right now.
