(no subject)
OK, I'm sorry I didn't post for a month. My computer got brokens and I have been w/o easy internet access at home for a bit, and I have just been really busy lately. But sorry all the same! I am trying to read everything that's been going on w/you guys, but I'm a little backlogged, so I probably won't comment on everyone's old posts, just read 'em.
I do have a new computer now, and I really like it! It seems really nice. I have been really into doing computational work in the group recently, and so I've installed our computational program (Gaussian) on my new laptop and am now able to run calcs from home, and I am having lots of fun. Computational chemistry can be so relaxing, and so exciting at the same time! I hope I can really turn this into a skill.
I hope everyone is doing more or less OK. I am so bad at keeping in touch w/people, and I am so good at just sort of fading into my own weird little world, and that sucks. Could anyone let me know if Rebecca and Andrew are doing alright? I think about them (and all of you) alot.
It's weird, Ben has moved out (a few weeks ago) so now it's just John and me. As much fun as it was living with Ben, it is a nice experience to live together just the two of us...we've never done that before, so it is a cool experience. Feels very grown-up.
I also think about roosters a lot. Just thought I'd put that out there. Zek, your extraordinary chicken calendar is still in the lab and it brings me constant happiness. I get to look at (and make everyone else look at) fancy chickens all day, every day.
