So. Finally. I got some child-free time.
Last night Rick and I caught the train to the City (man it's so great now that the train comes to Rocko!!!). We walked all the way to Spirit Sound Bar......wait, no, it's Tiger Lils now, anyway, there was a big line, and I'm not really interested in waiting around in lines at the best of times, so we hightailed it down to Carnegies, looked at some people (that's my favourite pasttime) and then walked in to Northbridge.
On the way to Northbridge I had this unusual sensation on my toe, it felt like I had a jellyfish in my shoe, but that's just impossible isn't it! ....being that I haven't stepped onto the beach in about 2 years, and I'm quite sure there aren't any jellyfish living in my closet.
So I just sucked it up and got on with things.
While in Northbridge we went to Mint, we were one of the only 5 people in there, which suited me just fine, but it wasn't very exciting. So we had a chat, got our photo taken, and then waddled over to the Shed. Where we got our groove on. I like to dance. Flail about. I'm more of a flailer than a dancer. I finally got home to bed at 12.30. That's very late for Mums like me!!!
So when I woke up this morning, I had a blister where I thought there was a jellyfish. That explained a lot.
I went to the movies with a friend of mine, and her husband and my ....well, Matt, stayed home with the baby.
Had a jolly old time, when I got out of the movies I had an SMS saying "Yeah yeah, it's ok, you just take your time......don't rush". It was very sarcastic. It was from Matt. I think he'd had enough of babysitting, although being someone's Dad isn't something you can class as babysitting really. He needs to calm down a bit I think.
Now Matt is off at some bucks night to watch some dirty rotten strippers, and I am sitting with a Corona, my DS and my top friend the TV. Charlie is fast asleep. He's a little angel. He took 5 steps today!!! 5 steps without falling over, that's impressive.
