"Do all Mothers have fun figuring out embarassing nicknames?" Grimlock's voice boomed out from the cell, the rather imposing figure that the Dinobot posessed resting comfortably on the large, if spartan bed that lay within the middle of his cell. "Or is that just you?"

Grimlock's features, though obscured by the rather unsightly stubble that the man had grown in the cell, were still well-defined and just as striking as they had been the last time she'd seen him. He was obviously doing what he could to maintain the musculature he had been so gifted with, and cafetorium food that Grimlock and his fellow Dinobots were provided with didn't seem to be taking away from that.

Grimlock smirked as he looked upon the woman that had raised him. She had aged well, and seemed to be taking care of herself as best as was to be expected. Obviously, the years had been kind to her career as well, for this time there were absolutely no guards with her, when there was typically at least one or two, just as a formality.

"I assure you, it's part of the job description." She smiled at him. Though she had never married, Grimlock wasn't the only person to whom she had adopted a motherly persona; indeed, one could say that Sector Seven was her family. "Right under the part where it says we have to give you embarrassing presents. Which reminds me, I haven't seen the sweater I made for you last Christmas for some time."

She paused here, as if reluctant...then sighed softly. "I have some news for you." Neither good or bad - that was all up to how he would take it.

"The T-rex was a nice touch, but I outgrew it after they gave me my gym privledges back..." He smiled back at her, his sharp teeth flashing in the light of the cell.

Grimlock's eyes narrowed at the information she alluded to. Did this mean that the higher ups had finally decided he was too much of a liability? Had they decided to finally erase the Dinobots? Or...had something else entirely occurred, something far better?

"...News?"

"You've always had a fascination for dinosaurs," Julie pointed out, her smile now thin. "But that's besides the point. The situation with the Decepticons has escalated to the point where Sector Seven has judged it prudent to bring the DINOBOTs into the fray." Her voice had taken on the tone of recitation, and now she dropped it. "In layman's terms - they're transferring you to Olympus, and into the Autobots proper."

The "Decepticons". At first, he had laughed when Julie had intitially informed him of Michal's defection from the ranks of the Autobots. It felt like a bit of cruel irony had come to bite Sector Seven in their asses, and in Grimlock's mind...they'd asked for it. Who would've thought that one of their precious golden boys would've turned on them and taken almost half of their available autobots with them? Who would've thought that Michal was a bigger threat to Sector Seven than the Grimlock and his DINOBOTs? And now that it seemed like Optimus and his team couldn't handle the situation, they turned back to those that had every reason to rise up against them, yet never had.

Grimlock made no effort to hide his amusement with the situation from Julie, instead letting out a loud chuckle in response to her information. "Oh? DId they suddenly realize just how valuable we are? Or is Optimus babying the situation too much as always?"

Julie chuckled at that. "Optimus is handling it as best he can, as ever - and to be fair, he's quite capable. Still..." She lowered her voice. "You know I've been pushing for you to be let out since you matured, and this was best chance I've had in years. I wasn't about to let it slip, and who knows? Your methods may be the very ones needed to end this before it escalates further."

Her voice returned to its normal tone. "As per the agreement, you and two others will be transferred. You'll be under the command of Optimus Prime, and those of an equivalent level...but you yourself will still be in control of the DINOBOTs."

"Just two...?" Grimlock didn't even try to hide his aggravation, he hated the idea of being forced to choose just which one of his teammates would get to see the great outdoors again. "...You choose which ones, I ain't about to pick and choose from my men, and the ones left here'd better get given some extra priveledges too to compensate." The only sentient beings Grimlock considered closer to him than Julie were his fellow DINOBOTs. They'd followed him to hell, back...and even into these cells, they were his family.

"Never could believe that Megatron got snubbed for the title over Optimus...but I guess the times show the higher ups can be right once and a while. I'll try to behave." The last part was said along with a deep chuckle, the idea that he was finally going to be free of the small cell seeming to invigorate the giant of a DINOBOT.

She nodded. "I thought you'd say as much, and have already submitted the necessary paperwork for them. The release of the others will be dependent on your behavior...so, yes, please don't light any of the personnel on fire, Grimmy? They're not as durable as the guards here." She was only half-joking.

"As for Megatron - I suppose we should have seen it coming, with the other Energon subjects going mad." She sighed. "It doesn't matter now, I suppose. Oh, well."

"No, what matters is that me and my men will do what we do best to make sure Megatron doesn't raise any more hell." Grimlock flashed his teeth as he spoke, as if imagining what it would be like to fight someone that could actually take what he could throw towards them once more.

"...We leaving now?"

"Soon."

She paused, pressing her lips together, then continued.

"Because of their lack of trust for the DINOBOTs in general - lord knows how hard it was to keep this going in the first place - they did insist on a few...conditions for your release." She made a face. "I already told you you'll be under command of Optimus. They also decided to make use of a 'backup' system in case you have trouble listening to him, or berserk."

Grimlock growled in a fashion that would make anyone that wasn't Julie take a few steps back. "...What now? Do I have to wear a goddamn leash?"

He was getting tired of all these conditions, Sector Seven couldn't have just let him go..oh no of course not. They ahd to have conditions.

Well used to Grimlock's growls - and secure in the knowledge that of all people, she was perhaps the safest around him - Julie simply smiled humorlessly. "Not quite. Cuffs on your wrists and ankles, easily hidden by clothing...not so easily removed. Upon activation, they act as magnets, rendering you mostly immobile.

"I tried to persuade them otherwise, but Banachek overruled me. All I can say is that I know your actions will speak louder than my words when it comes to gaining their trust."

Grimlock rolld his eyes at Banachek's name. "...And just who will have the controller for these damn things?"

He really hoped it wasn't going to be Optimus.

Grimlock wasn't that lucky.

"Optimus Prime will hold the primary; another will be with Banachek. The third, with myself, not that I believe I'll have to use it - but I insisted on the basis that I'm one of the few who actually knows you." She chuckled softly.

Great...just fucking fantastic. Why didn't they just hand them out to everyone on site?

"...That, and you can do it to make sure your son is a good boy?" Grimlock smirke, trying to push back his annoyance at having to be restrained yet again.

"You're always a good boy for me." Julie gave him a fond smile. "I'm very proud of you, Grimlock; you've come a long way, even though you may not think it at times. And you've got a bright future in front of you. It's no matter that the bureaucrats within Sector Seven don't trust you; I trust you, and believe in you."
