Chillin and illin
So after much working, I have the next four days off! Unfortunately we just paid all of our bills so I will be pretty much stuck at home, but at least we have no bills to pay. The humid heat of the coastal summer is already starting to get on my nerves and I'm over it. Time to be a hermit and never step outside.
So today at work I had to partake in a conference call with regarding the new program where we are trying to do more outreach with our senior customers. Representatives from all of the locations in our district were participating in the call. Anyway, at some point the topic came up where we were being giving information on Medicare and the different ways it can be used to pay for diabetic needs. And as it can be a little obtrusive to ask strangers if they are diabetic, we were coming up with different ways to find out if someone is a diabetic. So as we are giving our various ideas, someone chimes in with (and say with a thick southern accents) "Look n' see if they're skinny shakin' and pale!". And the call moderator was all "...well, I don't know about that." And I was glad as hell that I was on mute, because I thought I was going to die laughing.
Martin's phone has been fucking up, so we're gonna have to buy him another when. I told him not to buy the cheapest phone because I knew that shit was gonna happen. I don't really like smart phones, just because I think they're too expensive and I don't really see the need for all that shit. The only thing I liked when I had one was the GPS navigator. I usually just a buy a mid-priced phone with a full keyboard so I can text easy. But right now I can't call or text martin which is really annoying when I need him to get things on his way home. So it's basically for my own selfish reasons.
Anyways, I'm gonna go watch "The Shining" and look for more weird shit. I wish the skies were clear tonight because I kinda feel like having a fire and looking for UFOs. Ah well.
