Hello people, I feel i should write something on here seeing as I haven't posted in over a month!
I'm now at Birmingham Uni, here's my address in case anyone wants to send me chocolates or come and visit me (both would be eagerly anticipated!!!!!!)
Manor House, Bristol Road South, Northfield, Birmingham, B31 2AE
Freshers week has been ok so far... I haven't been very 'studenty' yet though because I've only gone to events in my halls....everywhere else is too far away! and I like my sleep. Luckily I've found some other people who share my opinion on staying out late =) Although saying that, I think I might try clubbing tomorrow night...because I already paid for a Freshers Fest pack (£25!) so I should really try to get my money's worth.
I'm in an all girls flat, and they are all really nice. I seem to be in the posh bit of Manor House ie. ensuite bathrooms, so some of the girls I live with are a tad stuck up....
Yesterday I went up to the Uni (3 miles from my halls) and I got my ID card, and ordered my NUS card- soo many discounts! And today I went for meetings about my course. Tried to find the Strathcona building for my first meeting , only to find loads of builders still finishing it!
I had meetings for modern languages, german, japanese and french...all good...but my timetable is confusing, and I have to pretty much sort it our for myself. On the plus side, I found the one person who is doing exactly the same degree as me! His name is Alex and he is scarily good at German. I also met a girl who really remined me of Melina... spooky...
I also went and bought a bus pass for a whopping £150! But it is for trains into the town centre as well, and the buses are reallt expensive to the Uni, a journey i'll have to make every day. But someone was just telling me that you can get a bus pass for free....I hope that's not true or I may have to cry for all my lost pennies =-(...oh well you live and learn.
I hope you guys are all well, and thanks to everone who has texted me over the last few days...they were all really nice and made me smile.
