Oh man, what a crazy weekend. I had BK camp AND Oracle practice, right on top of each other. They were both at the same time, so I had to shuttle myself between both all weekend. Here's my schedule
Friday night: Oracle till 10:00 pm, then run over to BK camp and practice there for an hour and a half, leave at 12:45
Saturday: Oracle practice till 3:30, then to my instructor's apartment in Denver with the guard, then back to BK camp, spend the night
Sunday: finish out the day at BK, being shuttled from the HS to the local middle school (because of basketball games there were no open gyms at Englewood)
It was crazy. And I got ZERO hours of sleep last night, because of a stupid vent in Englewood's band room. But, all things considered, it went well. My friend Amanda Potter (I marched w/ her this summer) and I are pissed because we don't do anything during Oracle, we just lay around in the gym while Marnie tries to write work for us, it's very frustrating. So we practice and do what we can by ourselves, but we're learning to be lazy, and that sucks. On Sat. I jumped into a BK rifle block, and was amazed at how much better I had gotten on some things since the same time last year, which is wierd since I haven't really spun rifle since then. Flag was the same way, it was a lot of fun to be able to pull off the vocab I was given without having to work at it.
It's so wierd to be a vet, I can't even explain it. There were girls autitioning that I auditioned with, and I got asked all these questions and was able to give lots of help. I even got asked if I instructed anywhere!! How wierd. But I like it, I like being able to be confident in what I'm doing and know what's going on, it's a nice feeling. ;-) And I got to hang out with a lot of my friends that I haven't seen in a while, which was really nice.
My hands are so swollen I can't get any of my rings on, even the ones that are too big. And my back kinda pinches funny, but other than that, and some bruises, I'm okay. :-) I think it's time for me to go to bed though, goodnight!
