I think it's a good thing that the negative image is slowly dissipating for Otakus like us XD~ (or are we not there yet? Hehe)

But I don't think it's good for the society in general ^^'; Because people can get more anti-social, and probably more females would become single ---> less people get married ---> birth rate goes down etc.

Well unless female Otaku marry a male Otaku, of course. XD

Branded goods are somewhat very important to some of them. In fact, the Japanese can sell their last season branded goods to a second-hand shop that deals in buying them, and then these second-hand shops sell out these branded goods at a VERY LOW price. Like 5,000 yen (SGD$75) you can get LV leather bag. ^^'
