Just arrived back from our weekend in Wincanton. It was great fun, although some people who were meant to come didn't make it because there was a big accident on the A303 which closed the road on Saturday and they got fed up sitting in the queue so went home. Sold a few memberships, polo shirts and tshirts, saw lots of friends, thoroughly enjoyed the storytelling session on Friday night and the sausage supper on Saturday night and today the
bellinghman bought me my anniversary present - a very '60s looking dark red crushed velvet and cheesecloth dress and matching jacket. I bought a hat and a black crushed velvet skirt to wear with my corsets. I like crushed velvet :-)
korenwolf and
megabitch very kindly invited us to drop in for coffe on the way home, so we got to see their lovely new home and the field and all the sheds! The journey back was OK if a bit long. Drove up to the M4 but had forgotten about the roadworks on the eastbound carriageway near Swindon so it was rather slow. Stopped off at Membury services then decided to abandon the M4 as the traffic wasn't going to get any better and headed up the A34 to Oxford then zigzagged across to the A1 via the M40, the A404 and the M25. I shall summon up the energy to put the bin out, and start a load of washing then I think it will be time for bed.
