Greetings from Aarhus!
- where it is really rather cold! - but at least it is not snowing. Been here since Thursday morning and having fun. Spent the remainder of Thursday walking round the town and having an...odd...brunch - never had pomegranate and pickled onion on the same plate before :-)
Yesterday we went round the modern art museum. Some of the stuff in there was good - I even recognised a couple of pieces (the Warhol Marilyns and a Gilbert and George) but there was also some utter dreck. We went from there to Den Gammle By - an open air museum of buildings that have been moved there from various bits of Denmark. Not the best time of year to visit but interesting all the same. We even got threatened by a small flock of noisy geese! We rounded off the day with an Indian meal - we always try to make a point of seeing what other European countries make of Indian cooking :-)
Later today we plan some museum visits (it's too cold for walking around much) and tomorrow we plan to take the train to Copenhagen so the the bellinghman can collect another Scandinavian capitol - I've been before, several times, but not for many years.
Using lj here is fun 'cos all the headers and such are in Danish, and sometimes trying translate through Swedish doesn't work but this should get through :-)
