Sometimes it just dawns on me that
1 - Nighttime puppy visits are the best :)
2 - Friends mean more to me than anything than just about anything else, life included... even if I don't always let on that I feel that way
3 - My mom is funny, in a good way
4 - Getting a new pet is like embarking on a whole new world of a relationship. It's a lot of work, but so very worth it in the end. Or, in the words of Nikkya, "A cat means commitment -- pussy doesn't" (or something like that ;)
5 - Academics is a huge part of my life, and I have to constantly remind myself to enjoy them while I'm here. This Project will get done; let me just have fun doing what I can during these last 10 days...
6 - My compulsive habits get worse right around my period. So I will now try my best to actively engage with them productively by putting myself to use cleaning, reading, writing and doing laundry. Woo-hoo!
7 - I miss our little community of constant livejournal friend postings in which we each respond to every one else's thoughts of the night
8 - I miss talking to faraway friends on the phone (Punk, "Ri-ri," Butthead, Little Frog, you know who you are...) I will be better at keeping in touch after April 28, however. Promise!
9 - I hope I get this job in South Africa this summer. We could be so good for each other, Cape Town and me, me and Cape Town. And I want to travel again sooooo badly, even if only for a little while.
10 - Midnight. Time to make some blackcurrant tea and chill out with my mind while I'm still lucid.
