late night caffeine injection
ahhh.... there's nothing like a cup of coffee at 10 o'clock to reinvigorate the senses. man, thank god for campus center snacks for seniors. i even ran into bill, wearing his new sexy spectacles that make him look more like a dyke than ever. i almost didn't recognize him.
he also told me that my old roommate Amy is going to visit in 2 weeks!! it will be so exciting to see her with her new man and her new L.A., film-producing self.
in other news...
tonight i decided to circumvent my sleep cycle problem (i.e., my recent tendency to fall asleep by 10pm and wake up in the middle of the night wide awake) by taking a 30 minute nap at 8pm. this way, i can be back on my toes by 9pm to tackle "the Beast" (as Erika so lovingly referred to Senior Project). so far, it's working. with a little help from Hustler (thanks for the phone call, babe) i was up and out the door to go check up on The Dude, Freud, and State o' Maine (allie's and sara's rats). luckily, The Dude is still alive despite his tumor, although i don't expect he'll last much longer. it's so sad... he looked so happy to see someone. something's happened to one of his back paws so now he can't even walk except by dragging himself small distances. i hand-fed him some water and food and stroked his ears a bit and he seemed so strangely content. the poor little guy. then i went to play with allie's rat friends briefly. now i'm back in my room feeling lovingly caressed by the caffeine in my bloodstream. mmmmm.
this week has been so... nice. first the trip to boston and now the time and space to check in with myself intellectually before the final countdown of Project weeks.... 4-3-2-1. whoah.
well, now it's time to call Stelle and get back in the projecting mode. maybe i'll watch a movie too. but first, you must check out this link (and make sure you have your speakers turned on):
