So I've been at home for about a week and a half. My dad gave me a little project to putter around with, but other than that I've been feeling like a useless, unemployed college graduate. I know this is really just a visit and I'll have my job soon enough in Ecuador, but...I'm feeling the angst that so many liberal arts grads feel when they graduate jobless.

Things have been playing out interestingly these last weeks that I've been here. My car was either vandalized, or damaged by another car, in my apartment parking lot THE LAST DAY THAT I LIVED THERE. Go freaking figure. So that ended up costing me about $1,000, which will most likely come off the price that I was going to sell it for. $1,000 that I really, REALLY could have used(To put this into perspective, ten bucks is a big deal to me right now). This especially irks me since this "accident" was not my fault, and whoever did it obviously was having fun beating the shit out of my car or was a total asshole once they realized they hit it, I wasn't around, and they could just drive off and forget about it. So, yeah. THEN, there was a glitch with my airline tickets, so now I have to leave June 7th instead of the 6th, plus pay a nice $135 change fee. How freak-IN' lovely.

However, I am counting my lucky stars that these will just be some minor setbacks/reality checks in the midst of the wonderful fact that I am beginning the next journey of my slightly odd, but overall decent, life.
