I'm not sure that's a bad thing. He would not get much playing time with the Reds. Hopefully he will get consistent playing time with the Bats. However, I understand he has 72 hours to decide if he will accept the minor league assignment. If he doesn't, he becomes a free agent. If he does that, I think he will be playing golf, not baseball.
