Life without internetz!?!?!?!?!?
Yes, my faithful reader. I lived a whole week without internet and lived to tell the tale! Marvel at my hardship.
Alex and I are 99.5% moved into our new home in Philadelphia. We still have a car load or two left in Freehold and to clean the place there. But the real problematic objects are safely at our new address. Through a combo of a rental cargo van, daily car trips and professional movers we got our belongings down to our new address. It was not the most efficient way to do things, but we misguidedly thought we could do it ourselves even though that wasn't quite the case.
But the trial is over and we have learned our lesson. Everyone is settling in nicely, albeit slowly. The dogs are definitely freaked out by the whole thing, but it is only week one.
We have discovered some great restaurants and bars in the area that we totally love. Our neighbors have been friendly for the most part. Things are good.
I start work on Tuesday. So yea for real income. Let's hope we can continue with this carefree spirit whilst I work.
Being rested and stress-free has been a great refresher. Now to focus on clearing some debt and building some savings. Of course, not before a good clothes shop or two. A new diet is around the corner as well as some needed exercise. Changes everywhere, hopefully all for the good.
